A Slime Report - By Jay (Cruise Dude)

It happened last Sunday just out of the blue
I was checking my egroups, I had'nt a clue.

A swapmeet in York was scheduled that day
Thats Pennsylvania to ya'll who don't live out this way.

As I read the message someone spoke of a meet
Curt said he's buyin I thought - this could be neat.

Now this meeting place was two hours from me
at some park and ride off I-83.

I fired up my Deuce and headed out on the road
its 31 degrees out but I was not cold.

I had on my leather and my 'lectric clothes
with my gloves, glasses and hood on nothin showed but my nose.

I headed east from my house then north on Route 4
then up 301, 97 and around Balti-more.

Once on 83 I started watching the signs
The one I was seeking was Rte 439.

I found the right exit and began to slow
What are those spots in the roadway starting to glow?

I came to the entrance of the park and ride
saw but one bike to pull up beside.

I was greeted by Bill and by Wildflower too
As she introduced herself I noticed more goo.

It glowed like the stuff I had seen moments ago
It covered this lady from head to toe.

As we waited for one more bike to arrive
We talked about the scoots we each did drive.

While we were chatting I kept an eye on the slime
It had spread out beside us, in front and behind.

Randy pulled in on a nice black lowrider
The slime pool was spreading wider and wider.

He mentioned the roads were a little icy and rough
Lets get out of here I thought, I dont like glowing stuff.

Randy led out with Bill and Kathy behind
I took up the rear dodging the slime.

We arrived at York fairgrounds and rode through the lot
Was there parking for bikes?, we all thought not.

We found some room and backed up to the wall
Kathy pulled out her cell phone and placed a quick call.

We made it she said then asked Curt where is our booze?
I'll be out in a sec - He had some bad news.

All of these bikers and no beer truck in sight
If word got out they surely would fight.

We paid our admission and walked around the swapmeet
I met some more netscum then decided to eat.

We had a small lunch, told tales and swapped lies
Drank a few cups of coffee to warm our insides.

Before long it was time to head out the door
The Ravens were playing in Oakland at four.

The bikes roared to life on the very first try
All 'cept for mine she was clogged with the slime.

A few more tries on the starter and she fired right up
The slime flying out of the carb, must have equaled a cup.

We headed towards home it was round about two
Good times with friends and the time really flew.

I waved goodbye to everyone at the park and ride
Then rode the rest of the way alone with my slime.

As I rode byself I had time to think
That damn Curt didnt buy us a drink.

It started to rain with six miles to go
My slime got wet and started losing its glow.

I pulled in my driveway and dimounted my scoot
I smiled to myself as slime oozed from my boots.

I am no longer scared of this glowing ooze
I'm used to it now - how's that for great news?

Thats my report about me and my slime
I hope you liked it, let's go riding sometime.
