RMH'ers Meet - Who sez this place is a cartoon

Greetings all! Pull up a stool, sit for a spell and have a glass of your favorite libation - I'm buying.

A coupla months ago I posted an informational heads up about a new Michigan law. An RMH denezin "Leonard Sobczynski ... aka "EzRider"" re:'d to it. Seems he was headed in this direction this mo. for a family visit but was unaware of the new law. Welp, anyway, he pulled into his parents driveway, (safe and sound, I might add) on Sun. past. After a coupla phone conversations with him, we setup an agreed meeting time and place.

After seeing my physical therapist this morning, I set out for the meeting. Did I mention that we were to meet at "White Castles?" - the home of the burger that is often referred to as "sliders." Anyone that's had them knows exactly why they're called that. Those of you that haven't been "so lucky" as to try them, hasn't missed a damn thing. Btw, EzRider *loves* them thangs. But don't let him know you heard it from me.

After spending some time BS'in about the bikes and such, we decided it was time to go for a ride. The sky wasn't lookin' very favorable for a long ride, but we decided to head out regardless. Living in the burbs, just west of Detroit, has nothing to offer in the way of pastures or meadows unless heading further west than my abode. So, west it was. We set out on our trek through the concrete jungle. But when we got out about 25 miles into the open spaces, the temp dropped dramatically and, of course, the sky began to *fill* with them black clouds that we're all so familiar with.

I decided to stop at a local pub so's EzRider could warm up a bit. You know how cold them "Georgians" get when they head north. (course, I wasn't cold a bit.. ahem!)

We ended up sitting around for a few hours just shootin' the breeze and getting to know one another. It hadn't started to rain yet, but those clouds were still hangin' around. Welp, we finally decide it's about time to get back on the road, and exit the pub. Wouldn't you know it, it started to rain. There wasn't much sense in heading further out with the sky lookin' the way it did, (especially seein's that EzRider had left his rain gear at his parents home) so we decided to head for home after agreeing to meet up again before he headed back to Georgia.

We parted ways, near his parents home, and I found my way home through the openings in the clouds without getting *too* wet. All in all, a very "bright" day - regardless of what mother nature chose to dictate.

This was my first IRL meeting with a RMH'er, and I must say that it was most delightful. Looking forward to many more.
